Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has launched a free distribution of agricultural inputs and equipment to smallholder farmers’ associations for year-round farming in the state.

The initiative is part of the federal government’s all-year-round farming initiative, which aims to benefit 31 selected cooperatives, including women and people with special needs.

The free distribution of farm inputs is part of President Tinubu’s efforts to promote agriculture and build resilient and sustainable agricultural systems.

The Minister of State for Agriculture, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, praised the governor’s efforts in agriculture and praised Niger State as a model for implementing federal government agricultural initiatives.

The ministry is working closely with sub-national governments, farmers’ cooperatives, and the private sector to ensure only genuine farmers receive the inputs.
