Robert Redford, a cinema legend with a six-decade career, passed away at the age of 89 in Utah.

Born Charles Robert Redford Jr. in 1936, he was an Oscar-winning director and co-founder of the Sundance festival.

Redford was also an environmental activist, fighting to preserve Utah’s natural landscape and resources.
