A boat mishap in Niger State has claimed 29 lives, with 90 passengers on board.
The boat, which took off from Tungan Sule in Shagunu ward, was carrying women and children.
The incident occurred on September 2, 2025, and was attributed to overloading and a tree stump collision.
Currently, 29 dead bodies have been recovered, 50 people have been rescued, and two people are missing.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing to recover missing persons.
