Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has appealed to the Federal Government for increased attention to federal roads in the state, emphasizing their importance for transportation between northern and southern Nigeria.
He raised concerns over persistent traffic issues on the Jebba-Lambata road and urged for urgent action on infrastructure projects, particularly on the Jebba and Izom-Lambata bridges to prevent disasters.
In response, Minister of Works Sen. David Umahi acknowledged progress on the Minna-Suleja road and contractors working on the bridges, while commending Bago for his commitment to urban renewal and various intervention efforts.
Umahi promised to provide a status report on federal roads in Niger State to facilitate further actions.
