Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, has praised the country’s national statement at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as inspiring and sobering.
Bago emphasized the importance of sub-regional bodies like ECOWAS and the African Union in advancing peace, development, and global justice.
He emphasized the need for a new financial architecture that aligns with Nigeria’s New Niger Vision, linking Nigeria’s call for global economic governance reforms to its domestic agenda.
Bago also called the UNGA statement a “sub-regional call to action,” stating that Niger State’s policies in agriculture, climate resilience, and security will continue to align with this broader vision.
