Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to driving agricultural investment in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s food sovereignty agenda. Bago emphasized the need for Nigerians to invest in agriculture, citing the benefits and investment returns. He urged the First Bank of Nigeria to continue partnering with the government to address financing challenges faced by farmers. He stated this at the 2025 AgricExpo organized by First Bank in Lagos, on 19th August 2025. The 2025 First Bank Agric & Export Expo, aimed at strengthening agriculture and boosting export opportunities, was attended by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Agriculture and Food Security Minister Sen. Abubakar Kyari.
