Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State urged the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Olushola Oladoja, to promote patriotism and responsible social media use among Nigerian students.
In a meeting at the government house in Minna, he emphasized the role of students in safeguarding the country’s sanctity and requested their help in urging their peers to use social media positively.
Bago also encouraged NANS to engage in food security initiatives through student farms, promising his continued support.
Oladoja reciprocated, committing to fostering dialogue within students and highlighting the federal government’s recent initiatives to aid students, including a zero-interest student loan and scholarship approvals for state students.
