In a visit to Niger State, Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun emphasized the need for united action to combat insecurity in Nigeria, particularly following the troubling incident of missing school children from St. Mary’s Catholic Schools.

Acknowledging the serious security threats facing the nation, he highlighted the importance of coordinated responses from all stakeholders.

The IGP reported that 50 children have been recovered and that the Nigeria Police Force has increased tactical assets and intelligence efforts to ensure the safe recovery of the remaining students.

Niger State Governor Umaru Bago thanked the IGP and emphasized the necessity for collaboration among all security agencies, expressing optimism for the return of all missing children.

He underscored the ongoing threats to the nation’s democracy and called for collective efforts to restore order and integrity.
