The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a significant reduction in Hajj fares for the 2026 pilgrimage.

The new costs are: Maiduguri/Yola Zone at N7,579,020.96, Northern Zone at N7,696,769.76, and Southern Zone at N7,991,141.76. This marks a decrease of approximately N539,013 to N569,871.91 per pilgrim, based on an exchange rate of N1,443 per dollar.

Intending pilgrims are urged to complete their fare remittances by December 5 to meet Saudi Arabia’s payment deadline of December 21.

NAHCON emphasized a first-come-first-serve basis for slot allocations, with states urged to expedite Hajj registration processes to meet Nigeria’s quota for the 2025 Hajj.
