Niger State Government has received 100 rescued school children from St. Mary Catholic schools in Papiri, Agwara local government area.

The handover was conducted by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, represented by Wing Commander Abdullahi, at the government house in Minna.

This rescue resulted from a coordinated operation involving various security agencies over the past two weeks.

Ribadu emphasized ongoing efforts to ensure community protection and the safe reopening of schools.

Governor Umaru Bago expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all involved in the rescue, and assured parents of continued collaboration to ensure the safety and reunification of the children with their families after medical examinations.
