The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that the death toll from a petrol tanker explosion in Essa community in Niger State has risen to 45, with 63 other victims suffering from burns.
The explosion was caused by a bad road section, with Essa being the most affected community. The victims were casualties of fuel scooping.
