Nigeria’s captain, William Troost-Ekong, has been named in the starting lineup for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa.
Benjamin Frederick, who was omitted from the team’s win over Rwanda, has been named in his place.
However, experienced defenders Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Cyriel Dessers have been given starting berths.
The starting XI includes Nwabali, Aina, Troost-Ekong, Bassey, Fredrick, Ndidi, Dele-Bashiru, Iwobi, Lookman, Dessers, Moses Simon.
