Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has emphasized the root causes of crime in Nigeria, citing poverty, unemployment, lack of schools, hospitals, and commerce in rural areas as the main factors.

He warned against politicizing the issue of insecurity by claiming that bandits can be eradicated or subdued.

Sani represented President Bola Tinubu as the Special Guest of Honour and was the Chief Host at a public presentation of ‘Where I Stand’.

He argued that insecurity cannot be resolved solely through firearms and emphasized the need for a non-kinetic approach to tackling the problem.

He also highlighted the lack of security presence in large parts of the Northwest, stating that the Kaduna Peace Model was initiated by affected communities.
