Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago welcomed a delegation from the UNDP and Germany at the Niger State Liaison Office, expressing gratitude for their ongoing support in developing Niger State.

He emphasized the importance of improving the lives of victims of terrorism and banditry, highlighting ongoing projects for sustainable resettlement and health interventions.

UNDP’s Resident Representative, Elsie Attafuah, acknowledged the partnership’s achievements and discussed expanding collaboration in areas such as energy and youth empowerment.

The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mustapha Ndajiwo, noted the positive outcomes of the Northwest Prevention Facility project, which aims to address insecurities and support community resilience in Niger State.

The project is backed by funding from multiple partners, including UNDP, Germany, and Norway.
