The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) sealed two Chinese supermarkets in Abuja for selling unapproved goods and also halted operations of eight shops at Wuse market offering aphrodisiac pills and dangerous chemicals.
The action, prompted by consumer complaints, led to the seizure of products valued at approximately N170 million.
NAFDAC’s Head of Investigation, Embugushiki-Musa Godiya, emphasized violations of labeling regulations and the dangers posed by unapproved items, urging Nigerians to be cautious about their purchases.
