The Nigerian House of Representatives has passed a resolution to protect strategic private investments from future industrial actions, following a strike action by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) over a dispute with the Dangote Refinery.

The resolution emphasized that the industrial action may have breached the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) Act, which stipulates a 10-year no-strike rule for investments within FTZs.

The House also called for policy frameworks to prevent future incidents.
