Nigeria’s Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has opened its student loan application portal for the 2025/2026 academic session, providing financial access to eligible students nationwide.
Managing Director Akintunde Sawyerr praised tertiary institutions for their cooperation and urged further collaboration to ensure a smooth, transparent, and inclusive loan process.
The portal will be open from October 23, 2025, to January 31, 2026, covering the full admission cycle of the academic year.
Eligible students include newly admitted and returning students.
Sawyerr urged institutions to be flexible with registration and fee deadlines and to send their academic calendars to NELFUND for consideration in disbursement scheduling.
