Ahmed Musa has retired from international football with Nigeria’s Super Eagles, concluding nearly 15 years with the team and highlighting his pride in wearing the national colors.
Musa, who won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, expressed gratitude to fans, coaches, and teammates in his announcement.
Known for being Nigeria’s highest scorer at the World Cup, Musa played for several clubs, including CSKA Moscow and Al Nassr.
His retirement follows similar news from teammate William Troost-Ekong and comes after Musa’s last call-up for the 2023 AFCON, in which he did not play.
