Niger State government has received the remaining 130 kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers from St. Mary, Papiri, rescued by the federal government.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed relief and gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, and all involved security agencies for their roles in the operation.
He praised traditional and community leaders for their efforts in securing the victims’ release, who will be reunited with their families after medical examinations.
The rescue followed coordinated actions directed by the President and involved various security agencies working together to ensure children’s rights to education are safeguarded.
